MUSICAL ELEVENSES

All tickets for this performance have been sold out.

Light, hollow tubes of varying length and every colour of the rainbow: what are they? A complete band! Boomwhackers are a relatively new addition to the large group of percussion instruments, though their popularity already rivals that of the drums that have given rhythm, form, and structure to many communities for thousands of years. This is precisely what makes Boomwhackers so unbeatable: from cheap and reusable materials, you can create a genuine percussion group with people of all ages and musical ability. With plastic tubes tuned to a musical pitch and some rookie musicians, i.e. the adventurous participants, the members of Ethnosound build a living xylophone. Playing and practicing simpler rhythms is just the start, as by the end of the session you will be playing well-known melodies together!
