Who are the Rascians, and why do they need an entire day to marry a boy and a girl? All will be revealed in this upcoming Schools Concert performance. With the help of some outstanding musicians and dancers, the high school students will encounter one of Hungary’s most beautiful folk traditions through the various stages of the inimitable Rascian wedding procession, not to mention the songs and dances that the wedding party bring to the celebration of the young couple’s union – from a visit to the bride’s house to entertainment that stretches long into the night.
