With the coming of autumn, it’s time for the grape harvest. This programme from the noted proponent of Hungarian folk culture, Zoltán “Batyu” Farkas and his able assistants will weave its own singing, dancing and fairytale message around the dense vines of the honey-sweet grape. Choreographer István Szengyel works in tandem with the two children’s groups of the Kistarcsa Pannonia Dance Ensemble. The authentic folk melodies will be provided by the Tarsoly band. Their returning partner shall be Krisztina Benedek, who will tell stories and sing songs, while simultaneously teaching us and initiating us into the customs of the harvest. An intricate, colourful and joyous display of the folk traditions of the grape harvest will conclude with preparations for the harvest ball.
