The rose of love decorates Mira's flower garden, until it is stolen by the Unloved Witch. The girl must find a way to win back this rare treasure. Her search takes her to a secret castle, where she meets famous Hungarian poet Bálint Balassi and Sindbad, a crazy French dance teacher, who keep her company on her strange adventures. She seeks her rose, but finds love with a cheeky Gypsy boy. Is this a fairy story? Or just a dream? Maybe everything at once, brought to life by a musical score built on a diverse variety of folk motifs.
