Capriccio for Müpa – world premiere

What is the easiest way to have a family sit down in a single space when each of its members is constantly on the move as an internationally distinguished artist? The best method is to arrange a festive joint concert! With a flutist, oboist, bassoonist, cellist and pianist among their ranks, the question naturally arises: what music could the members of the Bogányi family play together? While the music literature does not provide many encouraging answers to this question, fortunately, having some compositional talent helps here too. At the end of a programme of Romantic pieces – performed by the family members in various configuration – the concert will conclude with everyone joining in to make some joyful music. Gergely Bogányi has taken the Müpa Budapest sound logo crafted by Balázs Alpár and developed it into an entire composition for his family to perform now on the occasion of the institution’s 20th birthday.
