Our Sacrum et profanum concert invites the audience on a tour of the crossover between music which is sacred and that which is profane - the religious versus the worldly. During the concert, you will get to know the directions, celebrations and traditions distinctive to the religions of different cultures. While in European culture we are often muted or reserved in our religious faith, African and Asian peoples celebrate and proclaim their faiths with music, dance and festivals. Be part of this compelling journey, which reveals to listeners four continents, four religions and four rhythms from the souls of believers around the world.
