As a member of the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO), every year Müpa Budapest takes part in the production of the Rising Stars series. The concerts in the series present young artists performing programmes of music that include premières of contemporary works commissioned by ECHO.

The Quatuor Arod string quartet was founded by four French musicians in 2013. They attracted widespread attention when, after barely three years working together, they won the ARD Music Competition (of the Consortium of Public Broadcasters in Germany) in Munich in 2016, one of the most prestigious international competitions. Prior to this, the quartet had already triumphed at competitions such as the Carl Nielsen Chamber Music Competition in Copenhagen in 2015, and the Paris competition of FNAPEC, the National Federation of Parents' Associations of Conservatory Students, in 2014.
Quatuor Arod learned from string quartets such as the Artemis Quartet, Quatuor Diotima and Quatuor Ébène. Anyone who has heard their recently released first album, a selection of works by Mendelssohn, will be familiar with the secret of their success. It is simple: beyond indispensable talent and skill, careful attention to the works they play, perfectionism, a special interest in composers and their compositions, and complete devotion.
In Festival Square after the concert, visitors will be able to participate in a meet and greet moderated by Endre Tóth, where they can chat with the artists appearing in the concert and request autographs.
