An opera in two acts, K. 621 – concert performance on period instruments – Hungarian première
“As the second in a cycle of Mozart operas in concert performance begun in 2012, the Purcell Choir and Orfeo Orchestra perform La clemenza di Tito for the first time in Hungary on period instruments. Our goal is for the outstanding orchestral scores of familiar masterpieces to be revealed to the audience in their full musical glory without any of the haphazardness of theatrical performance. The use of contemporary instruments from Mozart’s time aids this objective, as do the wonderful acoustics of the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall, with their maximum sensitivity to the refined nuances of tone.” (György Vashegyi) Presented by: Sysart Kft. - Orfeo Music Foundation
