J. S. Bach

St John Passion, BWV 245

Lorraine, “heir” to the mediaeval Lotharingia, is one of the most colourful cultural regions of France. Bordering Germany in the north-east of the country, the region has been at the meeting and collision point of two cultures for centuries. The artistic profile of Le Concert Lorrain reflects this duality. Founded in 2000, the ensemble has worked over the past decade with world-renowned artists such as Andreas Scholl, Carolyn Sampson, Christoph Prégardien and Peter Kooij.
