The world-famous American singer Joyce DiDonato is an old friend of the Müpa Budapest audience, having appeared here many times over the years not only on screen as the star of numerous Metropolitan Opera broadcasts, but also visiting Komor Marcell Street in person on three occasions with her individually themed concerts Drama Queens, War and Peace, and Eden. The wonderful coloratura mezzo-soprano always has something special in store for us. And this time will be no different: accompanied by Il Pomo d’Oro playing under the baton of Francesco Corti partnering with a cast of singers that includes Michael Spyres, Mélissa Petit, Cody Quattlebaum and Jasmin White, she will sing one of the principal roles in Handel’s Jephtha.
