Now for the eighth time, Klasszik Rádió 92.1 is bringing its most popular classics to the stage of Müpa Budapest's concert hall, with this year's theme being music about love. With works by Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Mahler, we will guide the audience down the most passionate paths of amorousness, from yearning through intense feelings to fulfilled romance. Accompanying us on this emotional journey will be the most beautiful of works, performed by the Danubia Orchestra playing under the baton of Máté Hámori.
Each May, Klasszik Rádió 92.1 and the Danubia Orchestra traditionally hold a spring concert in which the audience can hear the most popular classics from the stations's musical repertoire. Following on the heels of programmes from previous years like ‘Italia Bella' and the subsequent ‘God Save The Queen!', as well as 2019's ‘Spanish Fiesta' and the 2022 ‘Best of the Dual Monarchy' concert, this year we have settled on the theme of love expressed in music by composers of different nationalities. The Danubia Orchestra has more than 25 years of history to look back upon. The members of the orchestra view it as their mission to make high-quality music available to as many people as possible. Klasszik Rádió 92.1 began with a similar mission 14 years ago. Since 2009, it has been broadcasting the most beloved classical works from different eras, including operas, symphonies, and even today's most popular film music. The Classical Favourites concerts offer high-quality light entertainment for music lovers, with programmes of popular works certain to make anyone enjoy classical music. Each year, the concert experience is made exciting and unique by singers, instrumentalists and dancers.
