Dóra Pétery graduated from the Academy of Music in Budapest with a major in organ and musicological studies, then pursued various courses of study in early keyboard music around Europe. Here she plays what one might term a "traditional” programme of Bach works which embraces some typical genres (chorale adaptation, prelude, fugue and fantasia). Among the unusual items on the programme are the "canonic variations” on a Christmas hymn (Vom himmel hoch, da komm ich her).
Additional programmes will spice up the event in the Glass Hall and the Foyer; for example, the Bach Café and Bach Organ-workshop.
