Balázs Méhes earned his organist degree at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music (Budapest, Hungary) in 1997 as a student of István Ruppert and Gábor Lehotka. He participated in master courses given by prof. David Titterington in Budapest and Nagykőrös, and as a grant recipient of the András Mihály Foundation he was also enrolled at the International Summer School in Dartington, England 2000. In 2001, he won a one-year scholarship to study at the College of Church Music in Herford (Germany). At present, Balázs Méhes is the organist of the Reformed Congregation in Tiszkécske, Hungary, and he also teaches in Nagykõrös at the Church Music Institute in the Faculty of Teacher Training at the Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary. He performed organ recitals in numerous churches in Switzerland, Germany, Transylvania, and Hungary.
