Heavy jazz artillery, here in Budapest

Rebekka Bakken, Roy Ayers, Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin, Kamasi Washington and Wynton Marsalis

Take cover! Müpa Budapest is continuing the season by bringing these five living legends to you. But not before the newest performer on the Jazz Spring programme, Norwegian singer Rebekka Bakken, takes the stage on 9 May. Following her on 22 May at his first appearance in Hungary will be Roy Ayers, the world's greatest vibraphonist. On 26 June, we will be visited by Kamasi Washington, the prince of 21st-century modern jazz, bringing his celestial masterpiece Heaven and Earth. Lee Ritenour and Dave Grusin, the two artists visiting on 29 June can boast 11 Grammy awards between them. The concert on 6 July will bring us yet another Grammy-winner, one who is also a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, when Wynton Marsalis and his Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra thrill the audience with their magic.

Platinum members of the Müpa+ loyalty programme will get the first chance to purchase tickets at 10 am on Thursday, 13 February 2020, and Gold members can join in too at 2 pm.  On the following day, 14 February 2020, Silver members will be the first ones invited to select their tickets from 10 am, and sales will be opened to both Base-level members and the general public at 2 pm.
