Il trionfo della Fama (serenata per musica) – concert performance, Hungarian premiere

Müpa Budapest has been keen to host Accademia Bizantina for years, and an invitation to this outstanding Italian ensemble specialising in historically informed performance for 2021 would have come together had the pandemic not interfered with our scheduling. Now we can hear them at last, not to mention in a valuable rarity they are bringing us, the serenata Il trionfo della Fama by the Italian Baroque composer of the Habsburg court Francesco Bartolomeo Conti. At their helm will be the world-famous conductor Ottavio Dantone, with the Purcell Choir led by György Vashegyi furnishing the choral forces for the production. The performance features such singers as Benedetta Mazzucato, Arianna Vendittelli, Martin Vanberg and Riccardo Novaro.

Co-operating partner: Haydneum – Hungarian Centre for Early Music
Haydneum is supported by the Prime Minister’s Office and the Bethlen Gábor Fund Management.
