Ticket sales for the Metropolitan Opera broadcasts of the 2025/26 season to begin on 6 May
28 April 2025

The New York Metropolitan Opera returns with another sparkling season featuring the brightest stars in opera, and visitors to Müpa Budapest will once again be able to enjoy HD broadcasts on the big screen.
The eight productions include both fabulous old favourites and exciting novelties: Two works by Bellini – La sonnambula and I Puritani – are joined by Tristan and Isolde and Eugene Onegin, while we are also eagerly awaiting Gabriela Lena Frank’s magical-realist opera from 2022, which brings the spotlight down on the famous painting couple of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera. Memorable stagings include the return of Zeffirelli’s La Bohème, Arabella, which was brought to the stage by Otto Schenk, who passed away this year, and a spectacular performance of Andrea Chénier.
For the live broadcasts and repeat showings of the new season, Müpa+ membership programme Platinum cardholders can buy tickets from 10 am on 6 May, while Gold members can make purchases from 10 am on 7 May, both for fixed prices of HUF 4,900 and HUF 6,900: the discounted rates applie to up to four tickets per screening. Basic- and Silver- level members and the general public can join in from 10 am on 8 May, when dynamic pricing takes effect.
