In 2024, Müpa Budapest will once again welcome international star orchestras, world-class soloists and unrepeatable collaborations.

Fans of classical music can expect to find genuine treats among Müpa Budapest’s freshly announced programmes as Riccardo Muti and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra head up the bill. They will be joined by Maria João Pires and Daniel Harding, Philippe Jaroussky, Francesco Corti and the Freiburger Barockorchester, Iveta Apkalna, Yuja Wang, and Diana Damrau.

Those who prefer less intense genres also have plenty to look forward to in the new year as performers include the banjo legend Béla Fleck. There will also be a symphonic concert by Aurevoir., new songs introduced by Henri Gonzo and Ibolya Oláh, a new album debuted by Branka Básits, and Márta Sebestyén taking the stage with her dearest fellow musicians.

In addition to music, Müpa Budapest also plays host to dance, and the most popular productions of the country’s leading companies and dance ensembles will also be among the venue’s programmes in 2024. Müpa’s popular literary programmes will continue showcasing the leading contemporary authors in the Hungarian language, and the Müpa Film Club will open a new chapter with the Being Woody Allen series.

Müpa+ membership programme cardholders are eligible to purchase tickets first: the pre-purchase period will begin for Platinum level members on 3 October, Gold level members on 4 October, and Silver level members from 10 am on 5 October. Basic level members of the loyalty programme, as well as the general public, will be able to buy tickets for the new performances from 10 am on 6 October in person from the Müpa Budapest box offices and online.
