Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic (civilian division) Presented to Imre Kiss

On 14 March 2011, in honour of Hungary’s national holiday, the Kossuth and Széchenyi prizes as well as the highest ranking Orders of Merit of the Hungarian Republic were awarded by President Pál Schmitt and Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in the House of Parliament. Among those honoured was Imre Kiss, Director of the Palace of Arts, who was presented with the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic (civilian division) in recognition of his work as the institution’s director, contributing to displaying and passing on countless artistic values.
