Our traditional Chinese New Year Concert unites cultures, showcases symphonic masterpieces of classical Chinese music and opens up new horizons in sound. Since its debut in 1998, the Grand Chinese New Year Concert series, presented by Wu Promotion both here in Hungary and around the world, has earned global acclaim. As they do each year during the Chinese Spring Festival, top traditional Chinese orchestras will once again be placing the spotlight on the rich repertoire of China’s diverse musical culture in the world’s leading concert halls. Over the past 24 years, these concerts have provided more than 300,000 attendees at 78 prestigious venues in 26 countries with a most remarkable experience Now you too can be part of this event, as the country’s most outstanding musicians ring in the Year of the Snake. The repertoire ranges from classical Chinese music to contemporary compositions, with many of these musical works performed on traditional instruments.
