Krisztián Oláh Quartet:
Creator:
It was six years ago that the Artisjus, Junior Prima and double Orszáczky-award winning Krisztián Oláh formed his quartet. In the January Jazz Workshop, the group will present their fourth album, Perspectives of Verve, recorded in the autumn of 2024. The Krisztián Oláh Quartet have made significant strides since their debut album At the Back of My Mind, which largely featured elements of modern mainstream jazz. Krisztián Oláh later immersed himself more in classical and contemporary classical music, while the group's most recent material moves beyond stylistic boundaries. The suite-like structure of Perspectives of Verve presents the tension between thesis and antithesis: personal compositions that respond to reworkings of standard themes with allusions and references from classical music. For this concert, a stage show designed especially for the occasion will contribute to the attainment of synthesis.
