Programme led by:

Károly Fehér, Emese Molnár

The ringing, tinkling sound of bells has long been an essential part of the Christmas atmosphere in almost every Hungarian family. Though in concert they are usually only heard in a “supporting role”, bells still produce a truly ethereal effect on the listener. Initially, you might think that the sound will be the same whichever one you happen to be shaking, but that’s not the case at all. Bells can be tuned, and every single one has its own unique personality. Károly Fehér and Ethnosound’s accomplished team have set out to introduce younger people to special or well-known instruments from around the world, and demonstrate how they work. In their interactive and engaging concerts, everyone has the chance to experience the uplifting feeling of playing music, often as a member of an impromptu band formed for the occasion.

FELHANGOLVA!
The concert takes place as part of the Felhangolva! programme supported by the MOL New Europe Foundation.

Age: 8-14 year
