The 30-year-old British organist Anna Lapwood represents a new generation of global star: She has 741,000 followers on Instagram. She is resident at the Royal Albert Hall and her natural musicality helps her transcend boundaries of genre. “Much more than a talented organist, choirmaster and social media sensation: she is a star with a mission,” wrote the Sunday Times. She will perform a wonderfully diverse programme on Müpa Budapest’s universal, world famous organ, including works by Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Gigout, Britten, Alan Menken, Olivia Belli, Rachel Portman, Ludovico Einaudi and Christopher Churcher. The concert promises exciting moments in the form of the recurring theme of film scores, such as music from The Da Vinci Code, The Hunchback of the Notre Dame, the Star Wars and The Pirates of the Caribbean.
