In December 2023, a group of Korean musicians invited Tony Lakatos to be a guest artist on a longer tour of South Korea. The tour was a huge success in the Asian country – now the time has come to present the material in Europe, too. In addition to Tony Lakatos’s own compositions, the concert will also feature a performance of two Koreans – Kim Daeho and Kim Minchan, no relation – and two Hungarian musicians – Tony and the remarkably versatile Áron Tálas. In geographical terms, they could hardly be further apart, yet the musicians are strikingly adept at uniting their melodies, thanks in part to the pentatonic scale prevalent in the folk music of both countries. And also because in the world of jazz, which is open to everything, everyone will find a home.
