Tamás Molnár is presenting his long-cherished first solo album, Szív utca, at Müpa Budapest. The frontman for the bands Anti Fitness Club and JETLAG, as well as the lyricist behind the hits of countless Hungarian performers, Molnár has already proven himself as a solo artist at his acoustic concerts. This time, however, he will perform his new compositions in chamber music arrangements, alongside a cello quartet, in the company of illustrious guest singers. Of course, his bands' classic numbers can't be omitted out either, and he also promises songs in which he has contributed as a lyricist, which the author himself will perform exclusively at Müpa Budapest.

Molnár has been active as a singer and songwriter, both on the stage and working in the background, for nearly two decades. Up until the mid-2010s, he led one of the country's most popular rock bands, Anti Fitness Club, and since 2016 he has been active with his electropop duo JETLAG. As a lyricist, he has worked with the crème de la crème of the Hungarian pop scene, along with some underground bands. A winner of the Fonogram and, several times, the VIVA Comet awards as a performer, he was also named the "A Dal" ("The Song") competition's best lyricist for 2020, the same year that he was recognised as the Petőfi Music Awards' Lyricist of the Year. Now, Molnár will perform the songs from his first solo album live for the first time at Müpa Budapest's Festival Theatre.
In addition to presenting the album, Szív utca, he will also début here chamber music arrangements created specifically for this occasion of music from his two bands. The focus this evening will be on song premières, out-of-the-ordinary transcriptions and unusual collaborations.
