On this evening, László Kollár-Klemencz presents his new album Rengeteg. The material closely follows the mood, personal flavour and focus on lyrics of Ember a Fán, his first album released in 2008, as well as 2014’s Legesleges, his second solo album featuring settings to music of the poetry of Virág Erdős. At this concert, Kollár-Klemencz will be accompanied by outstanding musicians raised on the traditions of classical and folk music alike, among them Iván Lantos, whom audiences may be familiar with as founder of Orfeo Zenészcsoport and Kolinda in the 1970s. Like Kollár-Klemencz, Lantos lives on a farm close to nature, so these two artists of similar outlooks and inspirations have much in common. Viola player László Ónodi has been heard in several large-scale Gypsy music productions, while cellist Béla Valkó performs with major classical orchestras. The “chamber music core” will be supplemented by several musicians from the alternative band Kistehén.
The music and lyrics of Rengeteg are primarily immersed in nature, seeking the oft-forgotten pure and simple connection between humanity and the natural world, or between humanity and its own nature, with an attitude that dares to confront reality, and yet retains a firm belief in ideas. “I was happy with Müpa’s invitation, and I think it’s here that I can pass on to the audience what I’ve received in the best and most understandable way.” (László Kollár-Klemencz)
