The Lóránt Péch Quartet plays contemporary acoustic jazz in which modern and traditional jazz elements form a natural symbiosis. They draw inspiration from the diversity of today’s jazz, its fresh rhythms, and its improvisational freedom. Their repertoire consists entirely of original compositions by Lóránt Péch and demonstrates the band’s creativity, dynamism, and shared musical philosophy through a wide array of musical characters. Lóránt Péch began playing the piano at the age of six. In 2022, he was accepted to the jazz composition programme at the Liszt Academy, where he studied under Kálmán Oláh, graduating in 2025. He formed the Lóránt Péch Trio in 2023 with Sándor Suke and Tamás Fazekas. Máté Balogh joined the group in 2025, and it has since performed as a quartet.
