Owner of a voice we could pick out from a thousand, Adrien Szekeres is a truly constant star in the Hungarian pop firmament. In a genre which sees more and more “stars” rise yearly, only to fade just as spectacularly, she has continued to sing to an increasingly high standard and with ever-increasing success over the past 18 years. Her voice is at once spring, summer, autumn and winter, imbued with permanence, calm and classical radiance, and exuding a harmony of thoughts and feelings. And all the while she retains an inimitable capacity for renewal.
After a three-year break following a highly successful symphonic concert in 2011, Szekeres once again prepares to enchant her audience within a full orchestral setting on stage at the Palace of Arts.
On this occasion, too, we will hear her best-known, most beautiful tunes - although anyone who has heard Szekeres sing her favourite operatic arias will know an unforgettable experience is in store in this genre as well. Her performing style and personality have already shown that the music within and around her has a wonderful power to replenish our spirits and enrich our lives. We can expect no ordinary show on this occasion either.
