Featuring:

writers Lajos Parti Nagy, György Spiró, Pál Závada
saxophone László Dés
percussion instruments András Dés

Three writers, Lajos Parti Nagy, György Spiró and Pál Závada, read from freely chosen texts, with music from two jazz musicians, László Dés and András Dés, accompanying the readings.

There are no limits in terms of genre - it could be the excerpt of a novel, a short story or even a poem. During the readings, music will play out at suitable dramatic moments to emphasise, underline or even provide a counterpoint to parts of the text. So the arc, its dramaturgy and the musical drama of the evening will be formed. In the show's finale, the three writers will elaborate on a surprise theme. László Dés has the following to say about the performance: "I think this event will be a great celebration: a celebration of Hungarian culture, with plenty of drama, humour and music. This kind of cultural event is especially important in the present day. Beyond the fact that some great authors will perform their works, here - unlike at traditional literary events - the writers will read out texts that resonate with the era, and the moment, in which we all live. This contemporaneity means it promises to be an extraordinary performance. The dialogue between words and music and the reaction of the musicians will only heighten and reinforce the experience."
