Special guests:
Everyone has to make their own decision about how much they wish to immerse themselves in Ruben Brandt’s mysterious world. Sometimes, you simply want nothing more than a classic thriller, full of twists and turns. Yet at other times you might want to scratch away at the surface and take a look behind the veil. Perhaps it is only with this kind of approach that the film truly opens up. After all, there is here a story behind the story: of universal art, from Baroque until our own time, encompassing painting, sculpture, and cinematography. Ruben Brandt, Collector: a mystery wrapped inside an enigma, followed by yet more mysteries. Eagle-eyed viewers will also spot the Müpa Budapest concerts of Ferenc Snétberger and Richard Bona in the film, too!
The film club’s specially invited guests are Krstić Milorad, the director of the film, and the film’s co-producer, Radmilla Roczkov.
In Hungarian, without subtitles
The discussions before and after the screening will be conducted in Hungarian.
