“Twenty years ago I started to publish solo records for children – or perhaps for families – Song books, in which I gathered my songs together for group singing. The fourth in the series featured Hungarian folk songs. These were things that are for children which I liked and would sing when I was a child. I am sure that today’s children could enjoy them and sing and hear them too. They will be heard in this concert as well, naturally with the help of children, from the Marczibányi Square Kodály school and the very best musicians. Please bring your singing voices with you. You don’t need good spirits because we’ll be supplying those at the venue! We look forward to seeing everyone: Vilmos Gryllus.”
