It’s good to sing. It is even better to sing a wide variety of music. The Sixtones programme for young people sets out to prove these two statements through both classical and popular music. The pieces are primarily connected by the fact that they were written to be sung a cappella, or without instrumental accompaniment. The purpose of this performance by young singers is for those sitting in the audience to experience the joy of singing for themselves.
