Szeder & Lóci: Songwriters! - What makes a hit?
15 November 2018 Thursday
9 am - 10 am
Banner Square

Featuring:

vocals, guitar Kriszta Szeder-Szabó
vocals, guitar Lóci Csorba
"Master of ceremonies” (presenter) Ferenc Tarr

This series is conceived for elementary school children. The goal is to bring them into closer contact with those musical genres they may not come across in their normal, everyday musical experience or in the school curriculum. There will be a one hour interactive concert organised especially for school groups, where we will journey across the landscapes of different musical genres, including instrumental folk music, world music and jazz, exploring their crossovers and connections.

A duet between Kriszta Szeder-Szabó and Lóci Csorba was first seen on Ki Mit Tube? (Show and Tube) several years ago, and they placed second in the talent competition nationally. The pair considers it their mission to create performances that present the language of popular music in a way that everyone can understand, and to explore this remarkably rich world together with the audience. Everyone is a songwriter, even if they don't know it. Every child is open to music and their musical 'initiation' begins with songs. Folk songs, Christmas carols and nursery rhymes are the first things they learn. How do they come about and what do these songs build on? And what does it take to make a hit?

Age: 8-14 year
