On the Wings of Worlds - A folk music journey through time and space
15 February 2018, Thursday
9 am - 10 am
Banner Square
Produced by Müpa Budapest

Majda Mária Guessous and her fellow musicians invite the audience on a journey through time. Their musical ‘time machine' runs on melodies from the wealth of Hungarian folk songs, those of other peoples and, of course, shared singing. Whisked through the pivotal moments of youth, the audience will gain insights into the folk music of areas where Hungarian is spoken and get to know the diverse world of musical instruments used by Hungarians and other peoples. Travelling to distant lands usually takes many hours: here, it requires only a few minutes on the wings of a song. The time machine is ready to go!
