La Lucita Grupo Flamenco:
What happens when young people not only hear music, but also feel it pulsing under their skin. This interactive concert by Luca Szegőfi’s flamenco band is guaranteed to turn the audience of 8 to 14 year-olds from passive viewers into active participants: They will clap together, beat out the rhythm and learn Spanish Jaleo chants as they become fully immersed in the passionate world of flamenco. Sprouting forth from Andalusian roots, flamenco encapsulates how rich and colourful a culture can be, while also showing how emotions can be conveyed by means of music and motion. The children will get to know the instruments, dance techniques and traditions up close as part of this light-hearted, narrative and engaging performance by Luca Szegőfi and her band. An hour’s journey back in time into the heart of Spain that is sure to educate, electrify and entertain.
