The World-Wide programme series will take place at Müpa Budapest for the ninth time. The event series, which examines the history, present and possible future appearance of two Hungarian instruments, the cimbalom and tárogató, will this time focuse on the future, and we will hear and see examples of the diverse use of the cimbalom during the morning children's show. The instrument plays a starring role in Julcsi Paár's Tuning up: Round Forest family concert.
The singer and music therapist Julcsi Paár will be familiar to Hungarian music fans from her work in various different groups, though in addition to performing in the bands Dalinda and Bazseva, for example, she is also deservedly gained recognition for her solo folk music storytale records and concerts. Her 2019 album and show Round Forest and (followed up in August of this year with Round Street) brings to life the fairytale landscape and magical story of the Round Forest, leading us through a multitude of memories, feelings and emotions with the help of the images of our imagination. Wherever he goes, Jancsi, the hero of the Round Forest, encounters unusual creatures and strange people, but he takes courage from song and is propelled along his path by dance. Connected by music and dance, the audience also become an integral part of the fairytale concert.
