Hungarian National Dance Ensemble: Long Live Petőfi!
Dance drama about the life of Sándor Petőfi
16 November 2024, Saturday
3 pm - 4:15 pm
Festival Theatre
Produced by Müpa Budapest

Plenty of dancing, plenty of colour and plenty of play: that’s what you can expect from the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble’s dance drama inspired by the short, but all the more adventurous for its brevity, life story of the immortal poet, Sándor Petőfi.Petőfi is a true Hungarian icon of yesterday's and today's youth, too. His rightful place is not only in textbooks, but also in the hearts of the young. The figure of Petőfi will appear on stage alongside 40 dancers: if you have the chance to listen to the National Song or the At the End of September here, you will treasure the experience for many years to come. The battle cry, then, is: Long live Petőfi!
