A Celebration of Folk Music - from dance house to world music
The Matiné band's children's show
18 January 2020, Saturday
4 pm - 5 pm
Atrium
Produced by Müpa Budapest

In recent years, our celebration of folk music has been far more than just the gala show in the evening at the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall. This 18 January it will be no different. Our free afternoon children's programme will kick off with a performance from Matiné, one of Hungary's most popular children's bands, who will enchant little ones in the Müpa Budapest Foyer.
Matiné, formed in 2014, are the brainchild of László Balogh and Tamás Gömör. Even their very first music video was played endlessly on a popular children's TV channel. They also got 70,000 YouTube views in under two months, so it was no surprise when they immediately signed their first record deal. The same year, 2014, saw the release of their albumFapapucs, which was then followed by Emelj fel! in 2018. Matiné's irresistibly popular songs have been enjoyed at more than 150 concerts to date by children and parents alike, who often find themselves becoming the stars of the show from one moment to the next.
Pure fun, group singing and dancing till you drop!
