The Yvette Bozsik Company has had ten years of great success in creating productions for children of every age group, with the National Dance Theatre engaging it each season to create a family dance show. Carlo Collodi's book The Adventures of Pinocchio was published in Italy in 1883. Pinocchio, the wooden doll, has behavioural issues: he easily gives in to temptation, he's extremely lazy, frequently mendacious, and his sole desire is to have fun. His story follows the structure of fairy t...ales: the unsuspecting and naïve protagonist innocently comes into the world. He runs away from home and gets mixed up with a bad crowd. Over the course of his adventures, which include a series of trials and hilarious situations, it dawns on him that in order to do well, he has to act well, and also learn a great deal. As a reward, the wooden doll is transformed into a little boy, who returns home to live happily with his elderly "father”.
The production has been made possible with the support of the National Cultural Fund and the Hungarian National Bank.
