'Paris De Nuit' takes its audience on a tour of the roaring variety life of the 30s with all its temptation and beauty. Revealing illusionary moments from the lives of prostitutes and peddlers, down and outs and illicit lovers who lived on the edges of society, this is an evening of lust, love and loneliness inspired by the characteristic world of the famous Hungarian photographer, Brassaï. Stunning circus artistes, dancers and musicians reveal the decadent yet charming secrets of Paris nightlife in the 1930s.
The show is staged with the audience seated at tables around and on the stage, bringing the performers as close to the spectators as possible. These special tables were designed to function as circus equipment, so it is not unusual to find an artiste doing a handstand above you as you sip your glass of champagne.
All scenes of the show are inspired by the cultural legacy of Brassaï’s photographs, which captured the most unique and daring moments of the Paris night. Discover the hidden sides of Montmartre, where Picasso, Henry Miller, Modigliani, Josephine Baker and Brassaï would disappear into the shadows of the night. Exceptional jazz musicians, singers, dancers and our stunning circus artistes will bring a unique experience alive, the secret Paris you have always wanted to discover.

The première was an event of the CAFe Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival.
