The Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) is one of the world's leading companies of contemporary dance. The NDT has presented more than 600 productions since its foundation in 1959, working with choreographers like Jiří Kylián, Hans van Manen, Sol León, Paul Lightfoot, Crystal Pite, Johan Inger, Alexander Ekman, Marco Goecke, Gabriela Carrizo, Hofesh Shechter, Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar.

In 1978, NDT's second section was established, for young dancers. Four of their choreographies can be seen at the Spring Festival, three of which had their premiere in 2014. "The performance of the Nederlands Dans Theater,” wrote a reviewer, "offered a unique chance to relish the teamwork of a company that consists of excellent artists. Because the secret to the dazzling power of the Dutch company is that each and every one of its dancers is an amazing practitioner of the art.”
