Following the great success of previous performances, Zoltán Kocsis and his orchestra will once again perform The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. This time, the symphony orchestra will retire to the pit to make way for the Kolibri Children's Theatre group, which performs 550 times a year in Hungary and abroad. The joint production promises a memorable experience through the confluence of professional performers, an outstanding musical director, and the state-of-the-art lighting, visuals and flawless acoustics of the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall. The Tchaikovsky ballet, written in 1892, was based on Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann's wonderful children's story and will be heard here in an unusual, spectacular context. Further dates: 23 December (7.30 pm), 28 December (11 am and 6 pm) Presented by: Palace of Arts, Hungarian National Philharmonic
