Ádám Tabajdi studied organ and piano in Debrecen, and after finishing at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music, went on to continue his studies at the Conservatoire de Paris. Although his programme only includes one work by Johann Sebastian Bach, a youthful one revealing the influence of Buxtehude, the rest pay tribute to the greatest composer among organists. The Prelude and Fugue to the musical notes B-A-C-H is a dazzling creative work by Ferenc Liszt. Zsigmond Szathmáry's 1990 organ piece is likewise dedicated to these four notes, but illuminated from an entirely different perspective. The works of Jehan Alain and Maurice Duruflé represent 20th century French organ music, while Max Reger's piece brings to life the German late Romantic style.
