The Open Rehearsal Room series is a long-time tradition of the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra, and always attracts a great deal of interest. The events of this series do not take place in the usual large concert halls. Instead, we invite the evening's audience to the rehearsal room of the orchestra. The artists of the Hungarian National Philharmonic and the Hungarian National Choir prepare true musical delights to perform in chamber music ensembles. Both the venue and the selection of pieces offer a more confidential and intimate concert experience for the audience.
These occasions are also special for the two groups, not only because they are the ones who select most of the pieces, but also because the medium allows them to establish a far more direct connection with their audience.
One special feature of the 2019/2020 season is that while in recent years our orchestra and choir have performed separately, this season, the two groups will entertain the audience together.
