#olvasniszabad (#readingforall) – Bring Something to Read!
2 May 2024, Thursday
6 pm - 6:55 pm
Festival Theatre
Produced by Müpa Budapest
Literarium Extra

Although most people traditionally think of reading as a solitary pastime, the #olvasniszabad (#readingforall) initiative shows that not only is it equally functional as a collective activity, it offers the participants a new form of experience. We make no secret of the fact we want as many people as possible to experience this within the walls of Müpa Budapest. There are two things required: Yourself and a book. Show up early, read with the others and fall silent. If you are lucky, you will be able to do so on one of the beanbags set out on the Festival Theatre stage.

In anticipation of the joint #olvasniszabad and Felefánt evening, we are calling for participants to a very special event. For those who have never attended an #olvasniszabad event, we would like to provide a little guidance to ensure everyone joins in with the shared activity at ease and without misgivings, and that they are able to fully enjoy this singular experience. Of course, any remaining questions can be asked on the night as it is our goal for everyone to feel completely at home. At #olvasniszabad events, everyone brings with them something they would like to read without any restriction on genre or topic (anyone who forgets can grab a copy of the Müpa Magazine). The activity of reading takes place in silence. On this occasion, a limited number of beanbags will be placed on the stage of the Festival Theatre to create an atmosphere that is as warm, friendly and intimate as possible. Places will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis – but anyone who doesn't get a spot on the stage will be able to find a seat in the hall.
There is no need to register in advance, anyone with a ticket for the event starting at 7 pm (#olvasniszabad x Felefánt) can take part.
