Mozart: Così fan tutte

Anke Vondung is a mezzo-soprano from Germany. In 2000 she made her debut at the Châtelet Theatre in Paris and in Munich, and in 2002 at the Bastille Opera and the Salzburg Festival. Since 2003, she has been a soloist with the Dresden Semperoper. Tassis Christoyannis is a native of Athens and was a member of its opera house from 1990 to 1999. In 2000 he became the lead baritone at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein but frequently performs also at prestigious Italian, French and Belgian opera houses. Topi Lehtipuu studied at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and made his debut with the Finnish State Opera. He launched his international career as Tamino at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. He has also sung Ferrando in a production of Così fan tutte conducted by Iván Fischer at Glyndebourne. Claire Ormshaw became a member of the Glyndebourne Opera Festival chorus in 2002 but was soon being allotted solo roles. In 2006, she played Despina in Così fan tutte with Iván Fischer conducting. There are few singers who can claim to be a celebrated regular guest of La Scala Milan, the Vienna State Opera House, the New York Metropolitan, the Paris Bastille Opera, the Moscow Bolshoi, the opera houses of Munich, Chicago, Madrid, Rome and Zurich. One who can is the British baritone William Shimell who has recently sung the role of Don Alfonso from Così in Japan, Cincinnati and Hamburg.
