Beethoven: Sonata in F major („Spring”), op. 24 Janácek: Violin Sonata Sallinen: Four Studies, op. 21 R. Strauss: Violin Sonata, op. 18 Born in Osaka in 1971, the world famous Japanese violinist began her career in 1982 when she was a soloist on a New Year’s Day concert with the New York Philharmonic. Since then, Midori has been one of the greatest stars of international music, celebrated as both soloist and chamber musician with the world’s premiere orchestras, concert series and festivals. Charles Abramovic has also worked at the world’s top festivals as both soloist and chamber musician. He is also a leading composer and in 2004, the Philadelphia Orchestra premiered his concerto work for piano, strings and timpani.
