Three Dances
Entitled Metamorphoses, this concert by the Szent István Music High School Wind Orchestra features works by Messiaen and Liszt, and even though the two composers are separated by nearly a hundred years, the parallels between them are fascinating, as both of these deeply religious composers imbued their pieces with innocent simplicity and passionate fantasy alike. This dramatic music will find a counterpoint in the sparkling and exciting characters of Three Dances, composed by Roland Szentpáli in 2007.
