Did you know that there is one day of the year when the gateway between the living and the dead, between humans and magical beings opens up, allowing the worlds of reality and fantasy to converge? This is the tradition of Halloween, an ancient festival, which we are now for the third time ushering in with a concert. Two years ago, the debut of this ‘terrifying’ new initiative by the Budafok Dohnanyi Orchestra, which saw the ensemble helping to evoke this holiday, met with resounding success. The focus of the concert, however, is not the commercialised American version, but rather the beliefs stemming from the ancient Celtic tradition. Ghosts, music, goosebumps... this is what this out-of-the-ordinary concert has to offer, with dancing and composed lighting elements there to enhance the overall effect. And the music? It will be scary, playful, cathartic, and sometimes popular. As is proper for witches, vampires and ghosts…
