6:30 pm - 8:45 pm
Festival Theatre

“KLASSZ” Talents Project (“klassz” both refers to “classical” and has the meaning “great”), organised for the first time within the framework of the Renaissance Year – 2008, has given opportunity to eleven youths to spend a year at a chosen musical institution or music festival abroad. In addition to coordinating classical music seasons and events, the “KLASSZ” Music Office of Hungarofest also aims at supporting young musical talents and cultural managers. The winners of the 2008 competition are: Accord Quartet (Péter Mező, Csongor Veér, Péter Kondor, Mátyás Ölveti); flutists Noémi Győri and Zsuzsanna Gyurina; cembalist Katalin Kovács; Trio Duecento Corde (András Tallián, Ibolya Nagy, Ferenc János Szabó) as well as violinist Kinga Ujszászi. The event is to be organised by the “KLASSZ” Music Office of Hungarofest PbO within the framework of the Renaissance Year – 2008. At the gala concert, speeches are to be delivered by managing director of Hungarofest PbO Rita Rubovszky, state secretary of the Ministry of Education and Culture Dr. Márta Schneider and rector of Franz Liszt University of Music Dr. András Batta.
