Carmina Burana - Part 1
Taking place for the fourth time between 1 and 3 July 2022 will be the Budapest International Choral Celebration. At the International Choral Gala that opens the festival, visitors will get to know many different kinds of choral music performed by the very finest choirs in the business, through the colourful culture of the choral world and its varied repertoire. In the first part of the opening concert, we will get to hear an a cappella programme presented by six choirs. The second part of the concert will feature the first part of a version of Carl Orff's Carmina Burana scored for two pianos and percussion instruments with songs about the vicissitudes of fortune, the awakening of spring, and the carefree play of young people in a spring meadow.
